Talent Show Results
Twenty five entries in the Jesup Farmers Day Talent Show created a variety of entertainment options for the Saturday afternoon audience. Elsie McIntosh’s creative compilation of art and gymnastics brought a very positive comment from the Buck Hollow Band, when they performed afterwards.

Two “Sprout” entries were advanced to state fair. Heston McIlrath won first in that division with a vocal solo accompanied on ukulele; and Allison Bovy’s vocal performance won second place and also advanced to state fair. McIlrath had already earned state fair eligibility at a previous show. Third place went to Hannah Bovy, also a vocalist in the Sprout division.

In the “Senior” division, first place went to Kate Tomson, for her vocal solo; second place went to Megan Wheelock, also a vocalist; and third place went to Bailey Miller for her lyrical dance.

Other Sprout entrants included: Lily Grover, vocal; Laycie McIntosh, piano; Emmi Flynn, vocal; Zachary Boevers, vocal and guitar; Darby Tackes, musical theatre, Jameson Johnson, drum solo; Paisley Eckholm, vocal; and Elsie McIntosh with her gymnastics entrance to her art stand, where she painted a “Tiger” sketch, dressed in a tiger-like costume.

Other Senior entrants included: Erin McRae, vocal; Hannah O’Connell, vocal; Kylie Sillman, lyrical dance; Claire Thome, vocal; Kristin Sadler, vocal; Margaret, Naomi, Maya and Elaina Lind, vocal quartet; Tyler Jack, vocal; Ali Alniz, lyrical dance; Andrew Oleson, vocal; Hannah Koch, vocal; and Emily Thedens, vocal.

Next year’s Talent Show will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2020, the final day of the three-day Jesup Farmers Day event.
