Russ Lachney to perform Friday
Russ Lachney’s one man band sound will fill the pavilion with music Friday, June 21 at 4:30 p.m. Lachney has developed a solo acoustic show incorporating a looping station with percussion and harmonizer to enhance his overall sound. He plays all instruments live in real time: including: guitar, bass, percussion, and harmonizing vocals looping them into layers to sound like a full band. His stage presence captivates audiences and his playlist includes memorable songs from the 50’s through today.

He covers music from Johnny Cash, Rihanna, Prince, Lady Gaga, Elvis, AC/DC, Jimmy Buffett, Stone Temple Pilots, Neil Diamond, Pearl Jam, Michael Jackson, Nirvana, The Who, Led Zepplin, the Beatles, Eric Clapton, the Eagles, Van Morrison, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty and many more.

Russ was born and raised in New Orleans, LA, greatly influenced by the rich musical culture of the city. He is a seasoned musician spending much of the past two decades touring the United States and abroad with a multitude of bands, performing thousands of shows. His bands have shared the stage with Train, Collective Soul, Blue Oyster Cult, The Flys, The Hunger, Bad Company, The Toadies, Pat Benatar, Peter Frampton and many more.

Lachney is also a guitar instructor and owner at Stringwinders Music in Algona. He is associated with the Stringwinders Chick Band, who will perform at 6 p.m., just following his show on the Pavilion stage.
