Pie Eating Contest follows last year’s successful hot dog eating contest
Following up on last year’s successful hot-dog eating contest, this year’s biggest eaters will get to down all the pies they can!

How many?

Stop by the Pavilion stage around 8 p.m. following the Prince and Princess contest to find out!

The event will take place on Thursday, June 20 at the Park Pavilion stage. It is organized by Curt Miller of Miller’s Top Fuel BBQ of Jesup. EmCee will be Jesup Scoutmaster Kyle Troyer.

Register for the event any time after 11 a.m. Thursday at the Boy Scout booth, just West of the pavilion in the Park. Sign up will end once all 10 “challenger” spots are filled. The eleventh spot will feature last year’s hot-dog eating contest winner Ryan See, who plans to be present to defend his championship!

The pie eaters will have 10 minutes to down as many “tart” sized pudding pies as they can. They can choose from chocolate or vanilla – both topped with a dollop of whipped cream. The pudding pie filling for the pies has been provided by ConAgra in Waterloo.

The entry fee for the event is $20 for each challenger. The winning contestant will be awarded half of the money collected and a HUGE trophy. The other half of the proceeds will go to the Jesup Lion’s Club to help support the local Boy Scouts.

Guess what might be coming next for the ???-eating contest in 2020? Will it be hot dogs again? Pies again? What about … ?
