Prince and Princess Contest kicks off pavilion events Thursday night
Following Mayor Larry Thompson’s official Jesup Farmers Day welcome, come witness a celebration of Jesup’s youngest at the Park Pavilion! The event is set to begin shortly after 7 p.m. Contestants ages 4-7 will be competing in the festival’s 31st Prince and Princess contest.

One Prince and one Princess will be selected from more than 20 candidates, to represent Farmers Day in the Great Farmers Day Parade Saturday morning.

Winners will receive crowns and ride in the Great Farmers Day Parade on Saturday, June 22. All of the participating children will receive carnival ride tickets and other treats.

Becky Burke, known to many as the Jesup Public Library Director, is emcee for the event. Each contestant will be interviewed briefly. Judges will then decide which little girl and boy are to be crowned royalty for Farmers Day 2019.

Come listen to all the cute responses the kids come up with Thursday night!
