Registration has begun for Farmers Day 5K Run/Walk
The competition is on for the Farmers Day annual 5K Run/Walk. The event, which starts and ends at the corner of Young and Main Streets, will take place on Saturday, July 7.

Registration forms for the event are available at Casey’s, Kwik Star, Jesup Food Center, and the Citizen Herald. The entry fee is $20 for individuals on or before July 1 and $25 after that date. For a family of four or more participants in the same household, the registration is $75. The registration fee includes a t-shirt. T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations received after July 1.

Awards will be given for the first place overall 5K male and female runner, first place overall 5K walker, and top three place winners for the following age divisions of women and men: 12 and under; 13-15; 16-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54, 55-59; 60-64; and 65 and over.

Packet pick-up for the event is 6:30–7:15 a.m. on the corner of Young and Main Streets the morning of the event. The race begins at 7:30 a.m. The awards ceremony will begin after the last participant has completed the race.
