Carnival Rides Starting Friday
Jesup’s Farmers Day will be a bit different this year because the Carnival rides throughout the downtown area won’t be up and running until the second day of the 3-day event.

Because July 4th is on Wednesday this year, the Carnival’s previous commitment to a July 4 celebration will keep their rides elsewhere until Thursday morning, July 5. By the time the Carnival drives to Jesup, then sets-up their rides, it will be sometime on Friday before it’s complete.

Farmers Day will still begin on Thursday, July 5, as scheduled, with the Children’s Parade, the T-Rex exhibit, the Prince and Princess contest and more.

As an added attraction Thursday night, all local food vendors in the park will be offering a “Bargain Night” Thursday, offering either something free, or something at a discount, to attract people to the park on Thursday evening.

In addition, while the Carnival rides are going, there will be more “wrist-band” times than ever before! Purchasing a wrist-band for $20 per child, will allow that child to ride unlimited rides during one of the wrist-band special time periods. These times will include: Friday, July 6, from 1-5 p.m.; Friday, July 6 from 6-10:30 p.m. and Saturday, July 7, from 11 a.m. -5 p.m. A separate wrist-band purchase would be required for each of the special time periods.
